The 2001 Terry Yunkers Fly

An amazing number of kiters gathered in Long Beach Washington on Oct. 13th, 2001 to remember our friend, Terry Yunkers of Monterey, California and to say farewell to Linda Anderson of Kites Northwest in Seaside, OR, who passed away just a few days before.  Rain threatened us right up until the last minute when it cleared up and was a beautiful day right up until sunset.  Just after the last kites were packed away, it started to rain.  With so much to be sad about as of late, it was a wonderful thing to see all the beauty in the sky and be with one another.
